Project Overview

MPI Magnesium is a strategic mining and processing development in Sibiu County, Romania, designed to supply with high-purity magnesium materials and strengthen critical raw material independence.

adv1

Rich, rare, unexploited resource in Europe of a critical strategic raw material

adv2

Geological research results have confirmed 220-240kg / ton of Mg ore in Valea Dobra

adv3

Carbon neutral MgO, Mg(OH)₂ and very low CO₂ Mg metal

adv4

ANRMPSG Measured, indicated, and approved resources exceeding 50 million tons.

adv5

Endorsing the EU requirements as established in the CRMA to provide 40% of raw material produced in Europe by 2030

adv6

Exploitation duration of 30-50 years in a fully integrated project

Mining Division

The Mining Division focuses on the responsible extraction of high-grade serpentine resources in Sibiu County. It combines modern open-pit methods, low-impact transport, and long-term resource management to ensure a stable and sustainable supply of raw material for downstream magnesium processing.

Processing Division

The Processing Division transforms extracted serpentine into high-purity magnesium compounds through advanced granulometric and hydrometallurgical stages. Designed for efficiency and environmental responsibility, it ensures consistent product quality while supporting downstream industrial applications and future magnesium metal production.
